Nursery Rhyme Series #178 "GIVE ME A LASSIE AS SWEET AS SHE'S FAIR, I'LL BUY HER A FEATHER TO WEAR IN HER HAIR, I'LL WINE HER AND DINE HER IN DISHES OF GOLD, 'TWILL COST ME A PENNY, THE WAY I'VE BEEN TOLD"





Bisque doll with brown mohair wig. Movable arms and frozen legs. White muslin pantalets and underskirt. Whited dotted swiss overskirt with pink ribbon bow adornments near the edge of the skirt and at the waistline. Pink taffeta bodice. White satin ribbon bow with white feather tied in her hair. Has wrist tag. 

Pink dotted box is in good condition with some water stains on the bottom portion of the box. The lid has a crack in one corner. Silver label attached and includes one cardboard insert and informational pamphlet.

Page 239 of the Encyclopedia of Bisque Nancy Ann Storybook Dolls : 1936-1947 by Elaine Pardee and Jackie Robertson states:  #178 Give Me a Lassie as Sweet as She’s Fair, frozen leg.
